American Idol 2014 Spoilers: Leaked Details of Hollywood Week
The insider stories of the Hollywood Week reveal that there are many rabbits to be pulled out of hats in the very first week. At present the information is not a lot but there is enough to keep you glued in. American Idol Net reveals that the Golden Ticket winners from the preliminary auditions are all set to arrive on Dec 15. They will apparently record their stage performance on Dec 16 for the Hollywood Week.
There is another rumour which has just come out. It seems like the contestants will be given permission to choose from newer songs this season at their performance during the Hollywood Week. They are reportedly being discouraged from selecting older songs and asked to perform on fresher songs.
The list of selected songs will seemingly consist of contemporary tunes which impressed the audience in the last couple of decades. The leaked information of the newer songs to be selected reportedly came out when an e-mail was sent to the American Idol contestants heading for the Hollywood Week, mjsbigblog reports.
Last season, spoilers from the show revealed by TheIdolPad that there was going to be a change in the eligibility rule for 2014. The change seems to have been designed for allowing former contestants of the previous seasons to take part in the audition once again. They were, however, not supposed to take part in the auditions if they did manage to be one of the top 12 contestants.
There were a number of singers who became popular last season even though they did not manage to end up being in the Top 12. That is why we can expect to see some popular faces from the last season in the Hollywood Week. Those may include the semi-finalists from the previous edition of the show.
American Idol XIII won't repeat last year's panel of judges: Nicki Minaj, Randy Jackson and Mariah Carey. For 2014, we'll see a new panel of judges that will consist of Keith Urban, Harry Connick, Jr. and Jennifer Lopez.
American Idol XIII premieres on Jan 15, 2014.
