The Part 2 of "American Idol" 2014 finale aired Wednesday, May 21, on FOX. The vocal battle was between Jena Irene Asciutto, 17, of Farmington Hills, Michigan; and Caleb Johnson, 23, of Asheville, North Carolina.

And the winner, the American Idol 2014 title holder is... Caleb Johnson!

Jena Irene and Caleb Johnson made history for being the first pair of a wildcard and "returnee" on the American Idol finale. Jena did not draw enough votes to make it to the Top 10 after the first votes were cast for the group. Caleb tried to join the show twice in the past, but did not make the final cut.

The first live number that did not work well for Jena was "Paint It, Black" by the Rolling Stones. Things drastically changed for the teenage girl from AI Season 13 Top 11 Week, when she performed "Decode" by Paramore. A week from that, she was in the Bottom 3 after singing "Suddenly I See" by KT Tunstall.

Caleb Johnson was never in the Bottom 3. The rock singer even made it through the next critical week despite losing his voice on the AI Top 3 night. Keith Urban and Jennifer Lopez were often on their feet for Caleb, losing themselves in "rock concert moments."

Several artists performed at the Nokia Theatre for the finale of American Idol 2014 (Season 13). Judges Keith Urban, Harry Connick, Jr and Jennifer Lopez also went up the stage for a collab number with this year's resident mentor, Randy Jackson. Caleb's winner's single is titled, "As Long As You Love Me."

John Legend, Jennifer Nettles, and Lady Antebellum were among the performers of the American Idol Season 13 finale. Season 11 champ Phillip Phillips was also in the house for a number with Sam Woolf.
