American Idol Judges 2014: J-Lo, Keith Urban, Harry Connick, Jr; 5 Reasons Viewers Would 'Come Back' to Watch [VIDEOS]
"American Idol" judges 2014 are Harry Connick Jr, Keith Urban, and Jennifer Lopez, aka J-Lo. The three artists have inspired producers to promote a reality show with "new attitude." But they are not the only reasons AI viewers would "come back" to watch the show. Here are at least five good reasons to see the AI XIII FOX premiere airing on Jan. 15.
5 Reasons Old American Idol Viewers Will Watch AI XIII
5. Per Blankens has replaced Nigel Lythgoe as executive producer of American Idol. New leadership, new strategies. Initially, old AI viewers would be curious. If it would be obvious nothing much has changed, that's where the new judges -- and their much-publicized good chemistry -- come in.
4. YouTube videos featuring American Idol judges 2014 all seem fun, relaxed, and enjoyable. Keith Urban says he thinks the job with the new judges is "easy and fluid." Jennifer Lopez explains the new AI panel has "the right combination of people."
"The judges love each other," says Harry Connick, Jr.

3. For many viewers who saw American Idol 2013, the so-called "New Attitude" in the show is attributed to the new judges. This alone is worth checking out for some "former" AI fans. Where there were rolled eyes and interrupted sentences, there are now hearty laughter and playful antics. Where there was name-calling, there is now a culture of good vibes.
American Idol host Ryan Seacrest is the only "original" left on-cam. Here's what he has to say about the American Idol judges in 2014.
"I'm excited that we've got a group that just sat together and had lunch and laughed out loud, and told stories, and talked about their lives and really get along," Seacrest says in the video below. He adds, "I think that people who've watched the show for a long time will enjoy that part of the show when they come back."
2. Australian country singer Keith Urban is rock-tastic. Standards and jazz performer slash film actor Harry Connick, Jr is a much-loved personality. Keith asks Harry whom would he sing to if he comes to the show to sing a love song. Harry keeps a steady gaze on Keith, and says, "I'm looking at it." Bromantics would know there'll be more where that came from. Straight and confident-but-grounded guys are given an extra 100 points, as far as many ladies are concerned. Many cannot wait to see these two perform together with Jennifer Lopez. Check out the bromance banter in this video:
1. Fashionistas and stylists are all poised to blog, pin, and 'like' whatever Jennifer Lopez will wear, or however way she'll dress for American Idol 2014.
Much has changed in J-Lo's personal life since her freshman year on Idol. There was even a time when her ex-hubby Marc Anthony dropped by to give her a kiss on-cam during auditions. But some things don't change for Jenny. The camera still loves her, and so does her many, many fans.
At the end of the day, none of the five reasons above would matter much if the new American Idol contestants are terrible, boring, and devoid of any umph or magic. Then again, there have always been one or two who'd make America want to tune it and vote.
Here is a very good sample of the manner by which American Idol judges 2014 interface with this year's contestants.
