It does not matter that they have been together for 18 years. Randy Jackson's wife, Erika Riker is reported to have filed for a divorce because of irreconcilable divorce. The former "American Idol" judge and now mentor, is yet to react.

Last Friday, September 26, TMZ reports that Randy Jackson had to reckon with his wife deciding they should legally split up. Erika wants her name to be reverted back to her maiden name. Moreover, it was also reported that Erika wants full custody of their minor child, 17-year-old Jordan as well as spousal support. Erika is requesting that legal feels that are going to be incurred during the process of divorce should be shouldered by Randy as well. For the divorce settlement, Erika wants a portion of Randy Jackson's $40 million bank account.

This report could not be timelier. It was only weeks when it was reported that the Grammy-winning producer sold his property in Tarzana, California for $1.9 million. This was a huge price drop compared to the price he paid for it.

Randy bought the property back in May 2005 for $2,725,000. The massive property has a total of 5 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms. It stands at 5,878 square feet. The buyer almost got the property at a bargain. Randy listed the property for $2.199 million in June 2014, but it went down to $1.99 when no buyer snapped it up. The gated estate in the El Caballero area of Tarzana even comes with a state-of-the art kitchen made up of luxurious amenities and appliances. All bedrooms have their corresponding walk-in closet and bathrooms. There is also central heat and air-conditioning system.

Whether Randy Jackson would ever return to "American Idol" as a judge remains to be seen, it was reported that the upcoming season of the reality competition would have Adam Lambert as a judge. He is going to replace Keith Urban temporarily.

American Idol made the announcement of replacement on its official Twitter last September 15. "Adam Lambert will be serving as guest judge at the NY auditions. Our thoughts are with Keith and his family during this difficult time," the tweet read.
