American Idol is back with Season 13. Keith Urban and Jennifer Lopez have reclaimed their position as judges on the show and Harry Connick, Jr has joined them in finding the next American idol. We take a look at top 5 moments form American idol Season 13 premiere:

1.This year the season took off from finding the singing talent in Detroit. Contestant #45201 Marrialle Sellers got the first ticket to Hollywood after she wooed the judges with her version of Bruno Mars " Grenade." Before going in front of the judges, Sellers had to wait in the chamber. The chamber is the new addition to the show where the contestant can have the last practice session before the audition.

2. Another contestant James Earl tickled the funny bone of judges with some corny jokes but he couldn't win their heart with his voice. Though Harry Connick said that Earl should have his own funny show.

"TONY! TONY! TONY! YESSSS! tony connick jr!!!! love it!!!! hahahaha #IdolTONIGHT," tweeted Harry Connick Jr.

3. The judges revealed about their roles in this year's season and how they want this season to be a dogfight. JLo said that how she had missed the singers and how the show is capable of changing people's life. She even talked about the magic of the show and how its touch is healing.

4. Troy from Boston seems like a big Miley fan, as he loves to twerk. He even urged J.Lo to twerk with him but she declined. However, without losing the spirit, Troy moved his booty while beautifully singing, "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." The judges were super impressed by Troy' singing talent and Harry and Keith even gave hi-five when he left.

5. This is the first season of American where singers are allowed to use instruments. Many contestants played guitars and cheerleader Stephanie sang in her cheering costume with pom poms before she got her ticket to Hollywood.
