After the "American Idol XIII" 2014 auditions in Detroit, Michigan and Atlanta Georgia which were shown on the Fox TV Network from Jan. 22-23, 2014, comes the AI Season 13 auditions in Salt Lake City, Utah. This particular episode will be shown on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014. The "American Idol XIII" 2014 auditions in Salt Lake City, Utah were held las July 11, 2013 at the EnergySolutions Arena, formerly known as the Delta Center. Like the other auditions in the other states, contestants lined up for a chance to show off their voices. But, this is just the first round of auditions. After passing this round, they have to audition again in front of the AI Season 13 judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr. at the Marriott Hotel at City Creek from October 2-3, 2013.

According to Fox 13 News, AI host Ryan Seacrest said the next American Idol could be in Utah.

"We have found some very good people," said Seacrest in the Fox 13 News report.

"We have not found who we think could be the Idol yet, the winner yet, so that's why we are here. Hopefully we find an individual that has that potential today," he added.

Here's a sneak peek video of the auditions in Salt Lake City, Utah. It features 16-year old student Kenzie Hall from Draper, Utah singing "I'm Gonna Find Another You" by John Mayer.

Here's another audition video featuring 18-year-old Kylee Adamson from Salem, Utah who is a lumberjack (or jill). She chose the song "When You Say Nothing At All" by Alison Krauss/Ronan Keating.

And finally, here's a video of 25-year-old mental health worker Samantha Calmes from Salt Lake City, Utah who faced the AI Season 13 judges while wearing a fanny pack or belt bag filled with her life's essentials such as a makeup brush, a little notebook and a chap stick or lip balm shaped like an egg.

Also, there's a new option to vote for AI Season 13 contestants through Google and Facebook. For people who search for "American Idol" information through Google, they can cast votes directly within the search engine's results. For Facebook users, if they cast votes, their profile pictures will be displayed during the telecast.
