November 18, 2012. Fans better mark those calendars now! The American Music Awards is just weeks away so better start voting and get those tickets! So what should everyone expect from such prestigious event in the history of American music? A whole lot of exciting events that is, from performances to anticipated winners.

The fans can purchase tickets for the event at tickatmaster where it will air live on ABC from L.A.'s Nokia Thatre at 8PM ET/PT. No worries for those who won't get the chance to go and see their favorite celebrities perform, they'll still be able to watch via ABC.com, amas365.com, Cokemusic.com, Livestream, Ustream, YouTube and AP Live Entertainment. It's like not missing out on the American chance of seeing only the best in pop take over the stage.

What else should everyone expect? Of course, overflowing stars! The Wanted, Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera, Nicki Minaj, Carrie Underwood, Pink, Pitbull, Taylor Swift, Linkin Park, Ke$ha, No Doubt, Usher and Justin Bieber are a few well-known artists set will take the stage.

The AMAs' nominations were announced last month and the leading artists who were nominated were Rihanna and Minaj with four nominations apiece. On the other hand, the Biebs was nominated in three categories - Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist, Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist and Artist of the Year. Also, nominated in three categories is the British boy band One Direction. Usher is also up for a few awards namely, Favorite R&B/ Soul Album for his song "Looking 4 Myself" plus Favorite Male Artist - R&B/ Soul.

Too bad, though, "Directioners" won't be able to see their favorite band take the stage this time around. Yet, who knows? One Direction just might make a sudden performance on stage but think about how awkward it would be to see The Wanted, Taylor Swift and One Direction all up on one stage.

Still, the American Music Awards 2012 is one musical event not to be missed. Fans better get voting to help out their protégés win their own nominations. Hopefully, this time around, Justin Bieber doesn't get pawned from the awards by the mighty, One Direction.
