Two-time Grand Slam champion Lleyton Hewitt has been given an infamous tag by a fellow ATP Tour player, who called the Aussie a racist and douche bag.

American netter Michael Russell apparently did not like comments from Hewitt after the Aussie's 5-7, 7-5, 6-3 loss to eventual champion Nicolas Mahut at the Campbell's Hall of Fame Tennis Championships.

Hewitt booked his spot in the finals after engaging in a three-set match with John Isner in the semis. On the other hand, Mahut cruised to a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Michael Russell to arrange a championship showdown with the Australian.

Hewitt was on the verge of winning the match after taking a 7-5, 5-4 lead. However, Mahut made an incredible rally to force a decider and then went on to complete a come-from-behind win against Hewitt.

"It's disappointing. If I could've had a day off and come back and played the final, I reckon things would've been different. All in all it was a good week. Can't do much about it. I had the tougher side of the draw, with the semi-finals this morning, I paid the price for that."

Russell did not like what he heard from Hewitt and expressed his view on his Facebook account.

"Lleyton Hewitt - what a douche bag and a racist by the way too. Really, so serving at 7-5, 5-4 for the Championship all of a sudden you got tired. How about you just choked and stopped making excuses," Russell posted on his Twitter account.
