America’s Cup Live Streaming Race No. 17 & 18: Team New Zealand under Pressure as USA Continues Surge: Preview, Schedule & Updates
The 2013 America's Cup Final is now on its 14th day of racing and surprisingly the Auld Mug is still up for grabs. Team Oracle USA continues its magical run on Monday by winning race no. 16 to make it a 6-8 battle in favor of Emirates Team New Zealand. However, there's no doubt that the pressure is on for the Kiwis, who have struggled to book the championship-clinching win since Thursday.
It has been a wild and wacky duel in the 34th edition of America's Cup on San Francisco Bay. The defender, Oracle Team USA, has shown for the last few days their heart and will power to stay alive despite facing all kinds of adversity early in the duel.
Oracle Team USA skipper Jimmy Spithill has been remarkable in many ways for the past days after leading the Americans back to title contention. On the other hand, Emirates Team New Zealand skipper Dean Barker admitted the struggles of his team to match the American's upwind speed, but at the same time, he's still hopeful that they can finish the job on Tuesday.
"We're very upbeat here, we know we can win," Barker told America's Cup press. "The Oracle guys sailed a pretty flawless race. There were no opportunities to get back in it. We did a better job on the downwind legs staying close, but not enough today."
