‘America's Got Talent’ (AGT) Season 9 Episode 2 Recap, Spoilers: Everything to Know About Performances on Auditions Part-2, Performances and Selection
NBC's fan-favourite reality talent show "America's Got Talent" (AGT) is back, promising to feature some really entertaining and amazing talent. Season 9 (2014) premiered on May 27, 2014 and showcased auditions of some aspiring contestants. In its second week, the four judges- Howie Mandel, Howard Stern, Mel B and Heidi Klum- continue to search talent all around the U.S. Here is a recap of "AGT" Season 9 Episode 2 aired on June 3, 2014. "America's Got Talent" Season 9 premiere featured 2-hour episode featuring some great performances that were selected for the next round. Show's 2014 season will select 48 contestants who will compete for $1million prize and their own show at the Las Vegas strip. Also, "golden buzzer" will be the part of the show which enables the judges to save at least one act.
On Tuesday night, the show kicked off with a performance by 12-member band called The Willis Clan. They are a family with members aging from 3 to 21. They sang "My Favourite Things" by Julie Andrews. Judges were impressed and welcomed them to the show and the next level.
Next to perform were magicians David and Leeman. 27-year-old and 29-year-old magicians performed a trick with Howie Mandel on stage. They disabled his reading ability. It was quite an entertaining act and viewers will get to see more of them in the next round.
15-year-old aspiring singer/songwriter Julie Goodwin took over the stage to perform "New York State of Mind" by Billy Joel. She was highly praised by Mel B, Howard Stern and Heidi Klum. All four judges voted for her and took her to the next level.
Goodwin was followed by Sean & Luke on "America's Got Talent" stage. The 17 and 18-year-old dancers performed a tap dancing act. Except Howard Stern, all the other judges voted for them and they are headed to the next round.
Next on Stage was 48-year-old Grand Master Qi Feilong. He claims to be Kung Fu master and a healer. He stops time on the clock with his energies. While Mel B and Howie Mandel say yes to him, Heidi Klum and Howard Stern vote against him. He was sent back home.
Real Encounter is a group of guys performing bike and BMX stunts. During their audition they show off their skills and some dangerous tricks on bikes and stunned studio audience and judges. They are selected for the next round on AGT.
Next to perform was Dom the Bom's Triple. They are three children who performed card throwing tricks. Judges were impressed and they are headed to the next round.
42-year-old Mad Jack performs some magic tricks but fails to make it through.
21-Year-old Miguel Dakota took over the stage next.The college dropout and construction worker sings to impress the audience. He sang "Too Close" by Alex Clare. His act gets him loud applauses from the audiences and votes from all the four judges. He is sent to the next round.
As its names suggests, Aerial animation was an aerial act performed by a 33-year-old teacher. Abigail Baird moved the judges and the audience with her act. Everyone was left mesmerized as she combined aerial and animation tricks. All four judges voted for her.
Last to perform on "AGT" Episode 2 were John and Andrew who performed a dancing act. Their unique dancing style led them to the next round after they managed to win votes from all the four judges.
