Amy Poehler And Bono Of U2 Made Out At the Golden Globes?
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler were the perfect duo to host the recently concluded Golden Globe Awards. Who could actually forget the duo's hilarious quips during the hosting stint? It's actually the second time for these two funny women to host the prestigious awards' night.
Held in Beverly Hills Hotel, Calif., the awards night was star-studded, from A-listers to budding celebrities. Most stars did not fail to impress the press. From their designer gowns and suits to lavish makeup and hairdos, the Golden Globe Awards was truly a fanfare of extravagance and opulence.
Poehler was nominated for her role in the television series, "Parks and Recreation" alongside Zooey Deschanel for "New Girl," Lena Dunham for "Girls," Edie Falco for "Nurse Jackie" and Julia Louis-Dreyfus for "Veep." Poehler struck gold when she was announced the winner for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series.
Prior to the announcement, the comedienne was found sitting on U2's front singer Bono's lap. Bono was in good humor and gave the comedienne a neck massage while the nominations was aired by Game of Thrones Emilia Clarke and NCIS: Los Angeles' Chris O'Donnell. As soon as Poehler's name was called, the comedienne turned around to face Bono and passionately planted a kiss on the singer's lips to which he responded to in a friendly manner.
The Irish rocker and Poehler shared a kiss for almost 2 seconds. The rocker had a huge smile on his face when Poehler went on stage to give her acceptance speech. Meanwhile, U2 frontman Bono's wife was inches away from the incident. She was all smiles, laughing rather joyously when Poehler planted a kiss on her hubby's lips.
Poehler had been nominated three times for the show. But this is the first time she won an award for it. Poehler said on her award: "I've never won anything like this... This is so cliché, but you get really nervous. . . I never win, so I can't believe I won."
Despite sharing a passionate kiss with Bono, she did not mention him in her acceptance speech for being her momentary make-out buddy.
