After her successful comeback in Netflix's hit TV series ''Orange is the New Black," Natasha Lyonne is signing up another gig and this time with SNL alum Amy Poehler. The Golden Globe winner co-created a new show for NBC and has given a green light for pilot production which stars Lyonne for the lead role.

NBC recently expanded its relationship to Poehler by signing her up for a three-year overall deal and a go signal for a new comedy pilot called "Old Soul." The "Parks and Recreation" star will be the executive producer, alongside "Happy Endings" duo Jonathan Fener and Josh Bycel that is if the new series will get a nod after its pilot.

"Old Soul" is about a woman who is trying to find herself while working as an aide to a group of elderly people. Fresh from her victory and epic hosting gig in the Golden Globes, Poehler is back and this time with another comedy show.

According to Deadline, Lyonne will play as a young caregiver to "a group of opinionated elderly people" while she is trying to figure out her life. ""This show, hopefully, will blow up some of the cliches we think about old people.... It's been a while since The Golden Girls gave us a funny and insightful ensemble of seniors, and I hope this show will do that too," says NBC chairman Bob Greenblatt.

"There's great actors available to play roles like this.We spend a lot of time looking for 20‑ and 30‑somethings and not that much time looking for 60‑somethings.So we just thought it was a different way to go with a comedy landscape that starts to feel very familiar and homogeneous," added Greenblatt.

According to reports, Poehlers as been given an unofficial seventh season following Bob Greenblatt's conversation at the Television Critics Association's winter tour in California. If the new "Parks and Recreation" season will pushed through, Poehler will be busier than ever with her left and right shows.
