Amy Winehouse Breaks British Charts After Death [PHOTOS and VIDEO]
Since her unexpected death, records of singer Amy Winehouse have been selling more than ever, allowing her legacy to break British music chart histories.
According to Britain's Official Chart, Winehouse's "Back to Black" has already sold 3,259,100 units since its release in 2006, with a boom in sales since the singer's untimely death. Because of this, Winehouse's album is now included in the "Top 10 Best-Selling British Albums of All Time," with the list dominated by The Beatles and ABBA. Winehouse is the latest addition to a record-breaking list which includes other legends like, Michael Jackson, Queen, Fleetwood Mac, Oasis, Madonna, and Pink Floyd.
Vocal legend Tony Bennet, who worked with Winehouse for his "Duets II" album, is whipping up a tribute concert for the late singer for this Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards. Bennet, who has worked with other singers before, will introduce a section of the event that will feature an audio visual presentation of the late singer's life.
"It was a thrill to record with Amy Winehouse and when you listen to the recording of 'Body And Soul', it is a testament to her artistic genius and her brilliance as one of the most honest musicians I have ever known," comments Bennet in an interview posted by the Telegraph.co.uk.
