It's another controversy for Amy's Baking Company. The infamous Scottsdale, Arizona restaurant has brewed another scandal after it ticked off a group of journalists who were kicked out of the premises for pointing out the fruit flies floating in their drinks.

Restaurateurs Amy and Samy Bouzaglo didn't have a good reputation to begin with, but it was aggravated when they appeared on the U.S. Fox reality show "Kitchen Nightmares" earlier this month. The viewing public were treated to the crazies that are the Bouzaglos in the show.

To save their declining business, they hired a publicity team and staged a grand re-opening week last week. However, their planned press conference was cancelled, possibly due to the letter fired off by the producers of the show, reminding them of their non-disclosure agreement.

That didn't deter journalists from the Phoenix Business Journal. The group came in Friday night, quickly learning that Samy's hostile attitude towards customers as seen on TV isn't an exaggeration.

According to reporter Hayley Ringle, when digital editor Adam Kress ordered a vodka martini on the rocks with a twist of lemon, he was given vodka that only had a lemon wedge floating in it. They immediately noticed that it had a small fruit fly so they told Samy about it.

Samy cordially offered to bring them another drink, but the second one, which was with ice, had a fruit fly on the bottom as well.

Again, they called Samy, who explained that it wasn't a bug, but "from the lemons." Nevertheless, he took away the drink to make another one.

But the third drink was worse. It had three fruit flies in it, which the reporters took out and laid on a plate. They called Samy again, but this time, he became defensive. He said there were no bugs in their drinks, and told them to leave. He would pay for their drinks, though.

When the reporters asked him if there were no bugs, did he think that they planted them in their drinks? He just told again them to leave. So the group of four left.

"It's clear to me that Amy's has truly earned its less than glowing reputation. I can't remember experiencing worse customer service, and they had two chances to make it right," Kress told the paper.

The reporters also noted that Amy's atmosphere was tense, and the staff were inexperienced. It also had empty tables despite their PR company's claim that there were 1,000 reservations on Friday night.

Just recently, Amy called "Kitchen Nightmares" host Gordon Ramsay a "ginger head troll." She told RadarOnline.com that the celebrity chef is "obsessed with my husband's balls" and "tried to ruin my business and life."
