Amy’s Baking Company Owner Samy Bouzaglo Filmed Threatening Patron with Knife [VIDEO]
Samy and Amy Bouzaglo, the couple behind the infamous Arizona restaurant Amy’s Baking Company, have been filmed chasing a patron with a knife.
The Bouzaglos first hit news in May 2013 after their episode on the U.S. reality show “Kitchen Nightmares” was aired. In the episode, chef Gordon Ramsay tried to help the struggling restaurant owners, only to be called names and sent away when he dared to give them constructive criticisms.
Since then, the Bouzaglos were branded crazy by viewers, and their ABC restaurant became a tourist spot, with patrons waiting for the couple to do something silly and perhaps even entertain them.
On Saturday, Samy and Amy were back in the news after they were captured on camera chasing a customer out with a knife.
In the video filmed by TMZ, Samy is seen waving a knife and trying to go after a man outside their restaurant as Amy tries to stop him.
The cameraman pleaded to Samy not to do it because it’s not worth going to jail over. Samy eventually let go, and the guy left. The cameraman said that a drunk man was eating at the restaurant when Amy became enraged and ordered him to leave. The drunk man did, but Samy still chased after him.
When TMZ contacted the Bouzaglos, they insisted that Samy wasn’t holding a knife, but just a pen.
Scottsdale police were called in the scene for a disturbance caused by an intoxicated man around 5 pm. Police spokesman David Pubins told CBS that the man had already left before they arrived. There were no arrests made, but charges may be pending when the man is located.
