Anderson Silva reportedly will come back in the octagon ring in early 2015, according to a new report. As for Silva's potential opponents, Nick Diaz's name is a top contender.

MMAFighting.com reported that Silva is planning on making a comeback in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in early 2015.

Silva's manager Ed Soares broke the news. Soares revealed that Silva has every intention of fighting again. "He's definitely coming back," he said. "He's feeling good, he's training hard, everything is good, man, hopefully we'll see him back."

"We won't see him back any earlier than the end of this year, or most likely, the beginning of next year."

However, Soares said that anything is possible and there's always a possibility that Silva would come back in 2014, but as of the time being, he said that Silva's focused on an early 2015 UFC return.

Silva's UFC return is almost foreseeable, but who will he fight next? Silva still has a UFC contract to fulfill. He still has eight more fights, even though he previously mentioned that he may not be able to accomplish all eight fights left in his UFC deal. He had defended his title for a long time before losing it to Chris Weidman.

As for Silva's potential opponents, Soares revealed that they are looking at the possibility of setting a fight with either "Michael Bisping, Cung Le, and even Nick Diaz." Nick Diaz said he's wanted to fight him before."

"You could argue that Nick Diaz and Anderson probably have some of the best boxing in MMA, so we'll see what happens."

"Like we all know, so many things can change, the landscape of the sport can change so much in such a short amount of time."

Nonetheless, Soares stated that UFC has a lot of credible fighters that can be matched with Silva. He is certain that UFC will be able to pick the best opponent for Silva's comeback. "I'm sure UFC is going to come up with a good plan on who the next opponent should be, and I'm sure it will be a good fight."

The possibility of a fight between Silva and Diaz instantly became the talk of the town. Fans gave their mixed reactions to the news on Twitter.

@danawhite @nickdiaz209 vs @SpiderAnderson ? Sounds Pretty awesome too me! Also @ @CungLe185 would be awesome after he knocks out Bisping...
