Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Now in Galaxy Nexus Plus Devices: New Features to Expect
The newest Android update which is Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is now available for unlocked Samsung Galaxy Nexus as of today. The update would start for devices located in the U.S.
As mentioned, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is the newest OS update from Google's Android. This new update would bring about additional and improved features for Android-based devices. Some of these improved features include the following:
Improved User Interface
It is reported that Android 4.1 Jelly Bean would bring more improvement in user interface. Such improvements include a new search bar with transparency, a new background image, and changes in the clock feature.
Dual Booth with Chrome OS and Windows 8
There are rumors that Android Jelly Bean would be able to support dual boot with other types of OS. More particularly, Google's Chrome OS. There are other reports suggesting a more complicated OS which is the recently launched OS, Microsoft's Windows 8.
Siri-type Feature
Siri, the popular virtual assistant is one of the features that most Android users would want in their mobile phones. This is the reason why there are rumors that Android is also coming up with their own Siri-type feature.
The announcement for the Google Nexus update was made through a Google+ post. Other devices that are aleady confirmed with the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update includes the following:
- Motorola Xoom
- Samsung Google Nexus S
- *Google Nexus 7 (pre-installed Android 4.1 Jelly Bean)
Google has yet to announce the official update schedule for Motorola Xoom and Samsung Google Nexus S.
