Samsung is still not sure which among their Galaxy smartphones are fixed to receive Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update, and there are speculations that some phones will stay with Android 4.1.2. If you own a Samsung handset, check out the 10 Galaxy units possibly to receive Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Exynos and Snapdragon Variants

No mystery for the 2013 flagship phone since the Google Play Edition is already running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean from the recent OTA update. Samsung is still developing their own firmware with TouchWiz UI and other exclusive apps for Galaxy S4. Expect Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie coming your way if you own this device.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Active

Like the original variant, Galaxy S4 runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box which makes it eligible for Android 4.3. Since Samsung is still developing the Android 4.3 firmware for the original Galaxy S4 variant, there is no telling yet if Galaxy S4 Active will have more features than before.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom

It is not the current flagship smartphone but the newest in the collection of Samsung's camera smartphone. It runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with 16-MP camera sensor for high-quality imagery. Hopefully, the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean package will bring more camera-concentrated applications, filters, scenes and improvements to the device.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini

Galaxy S4's small brother deserved to get Android 4.3 Jelly Bean sooner or later. Since it the "mini" version of the Samsung flagship for 2013 and runs Android 4.2.2 version already, there was no reason why it shouldn't get upgraded.

Samsung Galaxy S3

The Samsung Galaxy S3 was one of the most talked about Samsung Galaxy device getting an official update since Android 4.2 release. After Android 4.3 and Android 5.0 were unveiled this year, Galaxy S3 owners are asking when Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean will come to their units. Speculations revolved on different angles such as Galaxy Note 3 launch, Galaxy S4's not-so-impressive sales and Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie public appearance before the update could be pushed. However, Samsung seemed convinced to flush Android 4.2.2 in favour of Android 4.3 update.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Another most talked about Samsung device is the flagship phablet of 2012 and predecessor of Galaxy Note 3. Galaxy Note 2 has similar hardware with Galaxy S3 and owners were also expecting an Android 4.2.2 update, but the firmware was also going down the drain as Samsung plans Android 4.3 release instead which means, more patience is required before getting it.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini

The Galaxy S3's brother may be eligible to the Android 4.3 update, too. Galaxy S3 mini runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and ia powered by dual-core 1 GHz Cortex-A9 processors. The mini smartphone can also multi-task with its 1 GB RAM which covers almost all basic qualifications for Android's new version.

Samsung Galaxy S2

For owners who didn't want or manage to upgrade their phones to Galaxy S3, Galaxy S2 remained hanging on the balance whether Android 4.2 is possible or it should remain on Android 4.1. If Samsung pushed an Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update, you can hope for Android 4.3 Jelly Bean later.

Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus

This variant runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean right out of the box and almost have the same hardware elements with Galaxy S2 original. However, its primary OS started at Android 4.1 version which has an edge over Galaxy S2 on getting the newest update.

Samsung Galaxy Note I

There is no assurance if the first and the predecessor of all Galaxy Notes will be receiving any Android 4.2 or Android 4.3 in the future. The Galaxy Note I was released with Android 2.3.5 Gingerbead which is almost obsolete and later upgraded to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. In case it doesn't receive any future updates, you may need to go up at least with Galaxy Note 2.

Samsung may not able to update all devices with Android 4.2 or 4.3, especially if the issue is regarding the TouchWiz compatibility, but owners shouldn't turn down "hope" yet. Google was planning to make Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie optimised to most Android gadgets with at least 512 of RAM and running the Gingerbread version.
