Android 4.3 Jelly Bean: Top 7 Reasons Why You Should Get the Newest and Latest Android OS
Android 4.3 has been exposed to the Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition and Snapdragon-powered variant after Google released the source code. However, there are few details known about its features and changes as of now. So what should Android fans expect from the latest Android version?
Presumable Release Date on July 2013
Two known reliable sources, SamMobile and @LlabTooFeR both agreed that the update of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean will arrive to Google Play Edition of Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One. Recently, the source code of Android 4.3 has been released for Galaxy S4 Snapdragon variant and was tested in South Korea. Google is making progress with the new software and possibly be available to public by the end of July.
ASUS Nexus 7 2
The Asus K009 or rumoured Nexus 7 2 runs the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean based on server logs and backed up by a leak from an Asus employee. The said device will have Android 4.3, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, LTE and Snapdragon processor. According to the Asus employee which leaked the information, K009 or Nexus 7 2 is going to be launched by the end of July 2013.
Nexus First
As a tradition, Google always releases the latest Android updates to Nexus devices and it is expected to arrive on Samsung Galaxy Nexus, LG Nexus 4, ASUS Nexus 7 and Samsung Google Nexus 10 soon. Normally, updates from Google are pushed via Over-the-Air process and may take several days to reach all qualified Nexus units. Owners should be patient with the update.
Google Play Edition has an Advantage
HTC One, Samsung Galaxy S4 and Sony Xperia Z Google Play Edition variants are treated like Nexus devices and owners of these three smartphones are going to receive Android 4.3 Jelly Bean earlier than the original variants. Owners may have their Vanilla-based smartphones updated through Over-the-Air or manually by downloading the firmware. This is what you get by having zero customised UI such as Sense, Touchwiz and Xperia on your device.
Samsung Galaxy S4 Exynos and Snapdragon Variants
It is no surprise that Samsung Galaxy S4 would be the first device to receive Android 4.3 Jelly Bean among non-Nexus and non-Google based units. Samsung release updates pretty quickly compared to other manufacturers and could use the advantage to increase the selling value of Galaxy S4.
Verizon Galaxy Nexus
December 2011 was the last known update for the Verizon Galaxy Nexus and would likely to be one of the last phones to get the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update. It may take several weeks or even months for it to received the update compared to other Nexus line.
