Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is out and manufacturers are eyeing the newest Android version with great interest. HTC, LG, Samsung, Sony and Nexus devices are expected to receive updates but how long will it take before it reaches them?

HTC Smartphones

Despite the appearance of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean on the HTC One Google Play Edition, there is confirmation when will it arrive to the original HTC One. The maker couldn't tell yet if Android 4.3 is going to arrive on HTC One since they recently released Android 4.2.2 for the flagship smartphone.

"We're reviewing Android 4.3 to see how this update fits into our plans," Jeff Gordon, HTC senior global online communications manager told TechRadar. HTC is known for taking time before releasing updates to ensure stability and bug fixes on the firmware.

LG Optimus Phones

LG is not carried away yet with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean launching and cannot confirm which of their devices are going to receive any newer updates with Android 4.3 this year.

"LG is keen to ensure that its handsets run on the latest software, but at this time cannot confirm which handsets will support 4.3," LG spokesperson told TechRadar.

The company could be waiting for something big expected in 2013 - the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie major iteration.

Samsung Galaxy Line

Samsung constantly update their devices, but there is a sad part when talking about Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Recently, Android 4.2.2 updates are expected to arrive on several devices, however, the list seems to become shorter and shorter.

"Samsung UK will confirm upgrade plans to Android 4.3 to selected Galaxy devices in the coming months," according to Samsung UK.

Samsung Galaxy S3 & Galaxy Note 2 has been selected to go straight to Android 4.3, scrapping Android 4.2.2 idea while Galaxy S2 & Galaxy Note will likely remain with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.

Sony Xperia Line

Sony has the clearest details which Xperia units are getting upgrades with Android 4.3. The company officially confirmed that the newest Android version are in process for Xperia Z series and Xperia SP. Sony also plans to upgrade other Xperia models running Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.

"We're already getting stuck in and can confirm we'll make 4.3 available for Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, Xperia Tablet Z, Xperia SP and Xperia Z Ultra," Sony confirms.

Nexus from Google

As a traditional ceremony from Google, Nexus are the primers on getting Android updates and the company already pushed upgrades. Nexus devices expected to receive Android 4.3 includes Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4, Nexus 7 2012 and Nexus 10 2012.
