The Android-based gaming console Ouya delays launching date from June 4 to June 25. High demands for the gaming console served as main reason of its delay. Once it's released, expect Android games and stream video services to be loaded right on your big-screen TV.

Ouya is one of the most exciting Android devices which loads not only Android games but also video streaming and other contents right on your TV screen. Unfortunately, buyers must wait till June 25 due to some factors needed to be addressed first.

The official reason why Ouya was delayed is due to supply. The makers wanted to have more units on reserve to avoid suffering from insufficiency due to high demands. Instead of June 4, the launch has been moved for three weeks and scheduled to be released on June 25.

At the same time, Joystiq used the delay to allow the company to fix its controller. Ouya controllers have been reported to have issues with buttons getting stuck under the faceplate. Julie Uhrman, CEO of Ouya says that the problem with the controller are already addressed and now in production.

Uhrman made early changes to the controller by simply making the larger button holes to solve the problem. All units are now being produced with larger button holes to fix the sticking issue.

Ouya begins shipment to early Kickstarter backers but not yet available to the masses until June 25th in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. The gaming console is being offered on Ouya's official online store and other retailers such as Amazon, Best Buy, GAME, GameStop and Target are also selling the console online. It costs £99 in the United Kingdom and additional controllers will cost the owner another $49.99.

Uhrman said that Ouya staff will add external storage for games, simpler game install process, and more metrics for developers and controller support for video players and more payment options for games on the Ouya games according to Pocket-lint.

Ouya game console is expected to provide new overall UI, amazing video and gaming experience on your TV sets and allow developers to unleash their greatest creative ideas to satisfy gamers hungry for an all-new-kind of gaming experience.
