Android ICS Update for Samsung Galaxy Note Starts in Europe
Samsung Electronics has finally started rolling out Android 4.0 or Android ICS updates for Samsung Galaxy Note. The lucky people who would first experience the update would be Samsung Galaxy Note users in Europe.
Samsung Galaxy Note Android ICS Update
The first one who broke the news about Android's availability is Devin Balentina who shared a screenshot about the notification that his 318MB update was already available for download. Unfortunately, his location did not allow for the update to be rolled out. Instead, users that has GT-N7000 international Note can push through with the downloading of the update. Users who do not have this international Note must wait for further announcement of their carrier before availing of their own update.
Most Samsung Note users expected the update to begin during the first quarter of this year but Samsung decided to push back to the second quarter of this year. The Android ICS update will bring additional improvements to the device such as Face unlocking, sharper fonts, and a new Running Apps menu with a "Slide-kill" function. Alongside the Android ICS update, Samsung would also provide the new "Premium Suite" upgrade in order to maximize the use of Samsung Galaxy Note users. In the upgrade, S-Pen, S Note apps, and a new S Memo widget for the home screen will be available for users.
Samsung Galaxy S II Update
In line with this, the Android ICS update for Samsung Galaxy S II is also starting to roll out in different countries. Here is the official announcement from Samsung's official Facebook Page:

The availability and scheduling of the software update and specific models upgradeable to Android 4.0 will vary by market and wireless carriers' requirements.
* Updated on March 14.
Many people were actually frustrated because of the delay in the Android ICS updates for Samsung smartphones. If compared to other Android-based smartphones, the Android updates for Samsung were really delayed. Hopefully this update would roll out immediately for Samsung users all over the globe.
