And, finally Andy Kaufman's final act. *drum rolls* He is not dead. He is alive.

The internet buzzed when Andy's brother Michael read a letter written by Andy himself at a comedy club on Monday night. Michael went on to reveal that Andy has a 24-year-old daughter and called the woman onstage.

Andy Kaufman was known for bizarre comic acts. Needless to say, that he was one of the finest in the business. On Monday, his brother assisted him in what is his best comic act, faking his own death.

According to a report by the Huffington Post, at Andy Kaufman Awards on Monday, Michael told a story that comedian Kaufman was alive and had been living with his family for the past 29 years.

Michael also mentioned that he stumbled upon an essay written by Andy that was about the ways to fake his own death.

Later, during the show, Michael called a woman onstage and announced that she is Kaufman's daughter, according to Gothamist.com. She decided to get in touch with Michael after the passing away of Andy and Michael's father. She told the audience that his father and legendary comedian, Kaufman was alive.

At this time the audience began to suspect the claims of the woman onstage. Many identified the woman as a student of theatre.

Kaufman's New Daughter is a "hoax"

According to The Smoking Gun, the girl claiming to be Andy Kaufman's daughter is a New York City actress named Alexandra Tatarsky. A 58-year-old psychologist named Andrew is her real father.

Reports point out that Michael met Tatarsky earlier this year at a Manhattan Gallery.

Michael appeared on "The Lead with Jake Tapper" on Thursday and denied that he recruited Tatarsky to play Kaufman's daughter. He mentioned that he had not seen her until this Monday.

"I believe I am part of the hoax," Michael said.

"I don't believe that [the woman claiming to be Andy's daughter] is acting on her own, though."
