Andy Murray Hates Being Asked About Marriage
Andy Murray sat with Jonathan Ross in an interview on Saturday. Murray talked about his victory in the 2013 Wimbledon Championships, his professional tennis career, as well as the support that he gets from his family, most especially his mother Judy, who has always remained by his side all throughout his athletic career.
There was one part of the interview where Ross asked Murray about the most annoying question he'd dread getting. "When you are going to get married," answered Murray. "After Wimbledon, it was like, so when are you going to get married, like just because you won Wimbledon, like now you should get married, like the two are somehow connected in any way," Murray said.
"If not now, when," Ross asked as a follow-up question. Murray just grinned at the TV host.
In his latest book, Murray has revealed that he would love to have kids with long-time girlfriend Kim Sears. "I can see myself having a family," wrote Andy in his book. "Kim and I have been together for eight years and having a family is definitely something that I am starting to think about," wrote Andy.
Kim is the daughter of Nigel Sears. The two first met in 2005 during the U.S. Open. They became a couple in 2006 and have been inseparable ever since. Kim was always spotted watching most of Andy's matches.
"She has always been there for me," wrote Andy. "Kim really cares about me," he added. "She helps me with a lot of things and she understands the times when I need to be myself or when I need companionship," wrote Andy. "It may not sound much, but it is really fundamental," he wrote.
The first British to have won the Wimbledon in 77 years just released his autobiography titled Andy Murray: My Road to Wimbledon Glory on Nov 7, where he shares his thoughts on the highlights of his professional tennis career.
