Andy Samberg: SNL Alum Marries Girlfriend Joanna Newsom
Sorry girls, but Any Samberg is now officially taken as he said I do to his long time girlfriend Joanna Newsom on September 21 during a romantic ceremony in Big Sur, California.
After dating for 5 years, the couple finally tied the knot after getting engaged in February 2013.
The gorgeous couple was joined by their close family and friends at the Post Ranch, and just like Seth Meyers wedding the guest list is star studded. In attendance is the groom's friend Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, Natalie Portman and husband, Anne Hathaway and husband, Adam Shulman and a decent list of Hollywood friends..
And just like any Hollywood wedding, it is supposed to be a secret but the groom's "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" co-star Terry Crews accidentally spilled the beans on a red carpet on September 17.
"He's getting married this week," Terry told Access Hollywood. "I've been married for 24 years, so I'm like, 'Dude, be serious, this is real.'"
The 34-year old SNL alum proposed to his girlfriend now wife back in February, and revealed to Ryan Seacrest on his morning show. He said to his interview that even though he was excited, the planning was stressful.
"So far, it's been nothing but stress and joy," he joked earlier this week. "The joy is the lady herself. The stress is the planning. We tried to go small and it was just impossible. There's too many relatives, too many friends."
Their beautiful love story started when Andy was smitten with Joanna and started going to her concert just to get her attention. "He liked her music and would go to her shows," a friend told Us Weekly in February. "He had the biggest crush on her. They have great chemistry."
But it was not just Andy who has smitten, Joanna was equally smitten and just can't resist the comedian's charm. "She respects what he does with his songs," the friend said of his SNL music videos. "She's so proud of everything that he has accomplished." The pal added: "They have great chemistry."
When asked about the couple collaborating for a project, Any jokingly says, "But we've decided ultimately that her fans would probably kill me in my sleep. What she does is so, like, actually beautiful and important."
