Angelia Jolie adopts giant teddy bear from sidewalk kid vendors
Rumour has it that Hollywood a-lister Angelina Jolie and husband Brad Pitt are considering adopting their seventh child. But last week, the “Maleficent” star has adopted an eight-foot-tall teddy bear from the roadside instead.
Jolie and daughter Shiloh were driving around Toluca Lake, California, on their white Cadillac when they spotted a huge teddy bear being sold on the sidewalk. The vendors, eight-year-old twins Allen and Brandon Alexander, held up a “For Sale” sign to entice buyers.
In a video obtained by the TMZ, the “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider” actress was seen helping the twins stow the massive teddy bear on the trunk of her car. The 41-year-old mother-of-six reportedly gave Allen and Brandon US$50 (AU$65) each, which is more than the US$40 (AU$52) price of the old stuffed toy that the twin are trying to get rid of.
"You are so good at doing your job," Jolie, who introduced herself as Angie, told the twins. "You are very good at doing your job, sweetie. You guys are so cool. It's so nice to meet you."
The humanitarian-actress-filmmaker gave the boys a hug and shook hands with the twins parents. (Click here for the video)
Named as the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UHHCR) Goodwill Ambassador in 2001, Jolie has been popular for adopting orphans from third-world countries. She adopted Maddox Chivan from Cambodia in 2002, Zahara Marley from Ethiopia in 2005 and Pax Thien from Vietnam in 2007. Jolie gave birth to her biological son Shiloh Nouvel on May 27, 2006, and twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline on July 12, 2008.
Jolie and Pitt recently celebrated their second wedding anniversary. They are parents to 15-year-old Maddox, 12-year-old Pax, 11-year-old Zahara, 10-year-old Shiloh, and eight-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
