Angelina Jolie: ‘Brad Pitt Doesn’t Want Our Kids to Get Tattoos'
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have perhaps dozens of tattoos on them, so it’s hard to say no to their kids should they ask for one themselves. Angelina revealed it’s Brad who is horrified at the thought of their children, particularly their daughters, getting tattoos.
The Hollywood superstar couple already turned down their eldest son Maddox’s request to get inked, but now their nine-year-old daughter Zahara looks like she also wants one. Brad isn’t too keen on the idea of his daughters following their artistic path, though.
“They’re already asking me about tattoos. How do I say ‘No’?” Angelina said to Radio Times. The “Unbroken” director reportedly has 17 inks on her body, including the coordinates of each of her children’s birthplaces. Brad, meanwhile, is believed to have around 12 inks.
“It’s especially hard for dads and girls. For some reason men get a little more sensitive when the daughter gets a tattoo. And Brad thinks the girls can do no wrong. He’s mush in their hands!”
Brangelina also have two other daughters and two other sons. Zahara and Maddox, 13, are joined by their siblings 11-year-old Pax, eight-year-old Shiloh, and six-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
Although they have famous actors for parents, the Jolie-Pitts would have to think of another career other than acting in the future. Their mum and dad told them if they want to become actors, they also need to become something else because acting is “not enough.”
“They’ll have to find a real job at the same time. But I’m hoping that when they see all the other things in the world, they’ll be inspired to be writers, politicians, activists,” Angelina continued. “They’re very individual people. So I imagine they’re not going to follow their mum and dad.”
Angelina and Brad are currently filming “By the Sea,” the first film together in nine years since their blockbuster hit “Mr & Mrs Smith.” Angelina directs from the script she wrote. When asked how Brad takes direction from his wife on set, Angelina only had praises for the “Fury” star.
“He’s a pretty strong actor! It’s going to be interesting. He’s a really great artist, such an interesting artist, and of course he’s the man I love, so I think we’re going to have a great time,” the 39-year-old actress/filmmaker said.
Angelina, a multi-award-winning actress and humanitarian, was labelled a “minimally talented spoiled brat” by producer Scott Rudin in leaked emails to Sony Pictures boss Amy Pascal. Rudin is also a multi-award-winning producer, who worked with Brad’s “Moneyball.”
