Angelina Jolie, the director of "Unbroken," a World War II drama about the late Olympian war hero Louis Zamperini, got emotional and reportedly shed a few tears after hearing what Zamperini had to say about her. Jolie was in Sydney, Australia for the world premiere of "Unbroken" and she was with her husband Brad Pitt.

According to Daily Telegraph, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were spotted on Market Street in the Central Business District, or CBD of Sydney in New South Wales, Australia. "Brangelina" was on hand for the first screening of Jolie's film "Unbroken" which is based on the 2010 biography "Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption," by author Laura Hillenbrand.

While walking the red carpet, host Emma Freedman read a message from the late Zamperini to Jolie. Top Tenners posted a video of it on YouTube, which can be viewed at the bottom of this article.

"Angelina became a great part of my life. She knows what she wants, and she knows what she's doing, and I trust her one hundred per cent. I have all the confidence in the world that Unbroken will be a great film," read Freedman to Jolie in the Top Tenners YouTube video.

Jolie couldn't help but tear up when she heard Zamperini's message about her and the film "Unbroken." The two became close while making the film. Unfortunately, Zamperini won't be able to watch the premiere of "Unbroken" because he passed away last July 2, 2014 in Los Angeles, California. He died from pneumonia at the age of 97. Aside from being a prisoner of war, or "PoW," an Olympian and a war hero, Zamperini was also known as the "Torrance Tornado" and "The Zamp."

According to BBC, During World War II, Zamperini was erroneously classified by the U.S. government as killed in action or, "KIA" because his B-24 Liberator aircraft "The Green Hornet" crashed in 1943, with no survivors seen by the military. The plane crash killed eight of the 11 men on board "The Green Hornet."

Thankfully, Zamperini, along with Francis "Mac" McNamara and pilot Russell Allen "Phil" Phillips survived. However, McNamara died after 33 days. But, Zamperini and Phillips stayed adrift on a raft for 47 days before landing in Marshall Islands and being captured by the Japanese Navy.

Jolie was seen at the world premiere of "Unbroken" in Sydney, Australia wearing a strapless Gucci black and white lace gown. She was wearing minimal makeup and her hair was in an elegant chignon. As for Pitt, he was wearing a black suit and dark sunglasses.

"Unbroken" will be out in U.S. theatres on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 2014. It will be shown in Australian theatres on Jan. 15, 2015, in UK theatres on Jan. 16, 2015 and in New Zealand theatres on Jan. 22, 2015.
