Is Angelina Jolie giving up her Hollywood career?
If there is one role that Angelina Jolie can play well, it is none other than being a mother. The Oscar-winning star recently talked about her brood of six, her desire to direct and why her love for acting has diminished. Does this mean she will leave the Hollywood scene for good?
According to Today Celebrities, Angelina Jolie finds other things to do than acting. The 36-year-old actress has confessed, "I don't love acting as much as I did. I love being a mom". She further added that she does not have any plan to actually quit the Biz anytime soon.
"As Brad and I get older, we are going to do fewer films," Jolie revealed. "I have been working for a long time, he has been working for a long time, we had a nice run and don't want to be doing this our whole lives. There are a lot of other things to do." In an interview, Angelina said that she has always been grateful for becoming an actress. "I think when I was younger, I needed acting more," Jolie said. "I was trying to question things in life so you find these characters that help you find things and grow."
Instead of being in front of the camera, she definitely wants to spend more time behind it. Jolie, who makes her directorial debut with the romance flick "In the Land of Blood and Honey," said she drew from her own experiences working with directors to help her during filming. And as for the question she hears all the time about whether she and long-time partner Brad Pitt will ever settle with their children in one place, Jolie replied with her usual, "Home is wherever we are."
The actress prefers traveling the world with Brad and kids. Her children Maddox, Zahara, Pax, Shiloh and twins Vivienne and Knox seem to love trotting the globe, too. "They are all learning about each others' cultures as well as being proud of their own. So it's not like just the boys get to do the Asian thing." Jolie noted. "They all have their flags over their beds and their individual pride. We owe Vietnam a visit, because Pax is due. Zahara wants to get back to Africa, and Shiloh, too. So everyone takes their turns in their country."
Being a devoted mother to six kids and a loving partner to actor Brad Pitt has definitely changed Angelina Jolie's perspective in her acting career. With her passion for acting slowly diminishing, Angelina sets her priorities straight nowadays as she focuses on raising and spending a lot of time with her children portraying the most challenging role of all.
