Angelina Jolie got teary when she talked about her mother Marcheline Bertrand on "60 Minutes" by CBS.

The "Salt" star said that when it comes to parenting and raising children, she learned a lot of lessons from her mother which she applies now to her own kids.

Jolie, 36, discussed the golden rule that she and partner Brad Pitt share in their home. Being A-listers in Hollywood, it's hard to juggle their career and family commitments but the two make it a point that their work schedules blend well.

The actress said they refuse to work at the same time so that one parent will be available to tend to the kids. The actress added that they carefully arrange their work and filming schedules so that one parent can stay at home with the kids.

Jolie also exclaimed that doing so would be an attempt to raise her kids the way her mother raised her.

As she fought back her tears, the Oscar-winning actress revealed her admiration for her mother, who died of ovarian cancer in 2007. She described her mother as "grace incarnate."

"My mother was a full-time mother. She didn't have much of her own career, her own life, her own experiences. Everything was for her children," told Jolie.

"I will never be as good a mother as she was. She was just grace incarnate. She was the most generous, loving. She's better than me."

Despite being hailed one of the world's most beautiful women, Angelina is not an exception to the critics. When she was asked about her opinion on being on the tabloids, the actress responded.

"As long as Brad thinks I'm beautiful, I just don't think about it. I wake up and I want to be a smarter person," the actress concluded.
