Angelina Jolie Shops For Toys With Shiloh And Zahara Ahead Of The Meet -And- Greet Event With Pope Francis
Angelina Jolie was recently spotted shopping in Rome, with her two beautiful daughters Shiloh and Zahara. "The Unbroken" director, who is in the city to meet Pope Francis, reportedly wanted to buy toys for her daughters. She visited the local toyshop Berte, in Piazza Navona, with her daughters soon after landing at the Ciampino international airport. The 39-year-old was seen donning an all-black ensemble and wore her hair loose. She looked fresh, wearing minimal make-up.
Jolie and Pitt are reportedly big admirers of Pope Francis. According to US Weekly, they "like the Pope's message." He famously said in 2013, "If someone is gay and he searches for the Lord and has goodwill, who am I to judge?" reported Daily Mail. Jolie will reportedly meet Pope Francis in Vatican during a VIP meet-and-greet event. The visit is a part of Jolie's work with UNHCR. Pitt was also supposed to accompany Jolie, but he reportedly cancelled the visit due to last-minute engagements.
Meanwhile, Jolie is currently riding high on the success of her film "Unbroken." Based on the life of World War II Olympian, Louis Zamperini, the film has received rave reviews. It charts the journey of Zamperini who survivec a plane crash and spent 47 days in a raft. The Japanese navy later took him as a prisoner of war. The movie is based on the book by Laura Hillenbrand "Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption." English actor Jack O'Connell has portrayed Zamperini on the screen.
American Society of Cinematographers has nominated the film in the best feature film category along with "Birdman," "The Grand Budapest Hotel," "The Imitation Game" and "Mr. Turner." "Unbroken" is Jolie's second directorial venture. She is also gearing up for her third film "By The Sea." The film also stars Pitt. It tells the story of a couple who is undergoing a mid-life crisis. A major part of the film's shooting has been done in the Island of Malta.
