Angelina Jolie, who raises six children with partner Brad Pitt, will only allow the youngsters to see her in Shark Tale and Kung Fu Panda.

The actress refuses to let her kids watch her get killed in movies, according to reports.

"I don't want any of my kids seeing me in roles where people are trying to kill me," she says.

"I don't think they would like that. I am thankful that I have done some kids' movies they can see but the rest will have to be for when they're much, much older."

Jolie, who had to take a trip to the hospital while filming her new movie Salt, recently revealed she intends to enjoy a long future with Pitt and their kids.

The actress is determined to stay healthy after her mother Marcheline Bertrand died of cancer in 2007.

"I lost my mother not so long ago and there is something about the years passing where you really appreciate life more each day," she said.

"The amazing part is you have a history with the people you love. And it becomes important for you to stay healthy and age gracefully.

"I want to see my grandkids. I want to see my children grown and spend the years with Brad. I want everything."
