Retired professional tennis player and former World No 1 Anna Kournikova's relationship with Spanish heartthrob Enrique Iglesias is reported to be doomed and going under.

As reported by Contact Music, Kournikova is becoming more and more upset about Iglesias' unwillingness to marry her.

"Anna and Enrique's relationship are in trouble," a reliable source told the New York Post. "She is getting weary and worn-out waiting for him to come to a decision if he wants to marry her or not," the source stated. "She just feels that it is never going to happen and she is ready to move on," said the source.

Kournikova started seeing Iglesias in 2001. She even appeared on one of his music videos for his song titled Escape. They have been together for 12 years now but she never directly addressed the real score about her relationship with the pop star.

In March 2012, US Weekly published an article on the topic of Iglesias not marrying Kournikova. "I have never really thought that marriage would make any difference, maybe because I came from a broken family, my parents were divorced," Iglesias said. "However, I do not think that you love a person more just because of a piece of paper," he added.

In 2011, Kournikova also shared her views on marriage. "I am in a happy relationship and it is all that matters," she told Women's Health. Well, maybe her views have changed now. They say that all women dream of having a perfect wedding.

We can only hope that the couple can patch and smooth things up, after all they have been together for so long. It would be a pity to see all those years go into waste. Furthermore, the topic of marriage has been brought up many times before so this is not the first time that the couple has dealt with this issue. Surely, they will be able to find a way to work things out.
