Anne Hathaway Appointed As Board Member of The Public Theater
By now, everyone knows that Oscar winner Anne Hathaway also performs on stage. She is a trained stage actress having performed in various professional stage productions including a performance in The Public Theater's production of Shakespeare's 'Twelfth Night' in 2009.
Her frequent collaboration with the Public has earned her a recent appointment to become a member of its Board of Trustees.
She will serve a three-year term as board member along with seven other women who are renowned philanthropists and supporters of art and theatre.
According ot Oskar Eustis, The Public Theater's artistic director, "The Public is lucky to have these seven as new board members."
"Even as we recently honoured the passing of our beloved Nora Ephron, we are uplifted by the addition of these extraordinary women."
Aside from Twelfth Night, the 'Les Mis' actress was also a part of the historic New York theatre's 2012 benefit concert Perfectly Marvelous: The Songs of 'Cabaret' with Anne Hathaway and Friends.
Hathaway has no major movie this 2013 but she is currently busy filming for 'Song One' and 'Rio' scheduled to be released in 2014.
