Anne Hathway received praise from President Barack Obama on her role as "Catwoman" in the movie "The Dark Knight Rises."

The US President branded Anne Hathaway as the "best thing" about the film. Certainly he was impressed as he talked about "The Dark Knight Rises" on his recent fundraising campaign in at producer Harvey Weinstein's home in Connecticut.

"I got a chance to see Batman, and she was the best thing in it. That's just my personal opinion," he said, adding that Anne was "spectacular" on the film.

Anne Hathaway who was in attendance for the event as co-host, laughed at the Obama's compliments. The actress was present together with other hosts, Joanne Woodward, Aaron Sorkin and Weinstein.

Jerry Springer and "Vogue" editor, Anna Wintour were present at the $35,800-per-plate event. All those in attendance were there to support Barack Obama on his run for presidency.

Anne who lost weight to be able to do stunts and fit in the "Catwoman" costume said that cutting her hair short for her next movie portrayal was "scarier" than jumping off buildings.

The 29-year-old actress got her hair cut to a pixie for her role as "Fantine" in her next movie, "Les Miserables." Hathaway admits that she was more terrified to have her locks chopped than doing action stunts for her role as "Catwoman" in "The Dark Knight Rises."

"It was terrifying. I didn't expect it because in this film ['The Dark Knight Rises'], I do backflips out of windows, I jump off of buildings, I do all sorts of scary things but nothing was as scary as cutting my hair off," she said.
