"Ant-Man" has a new cast member in the face of "Homeland" star Martin Donovan. The actor is reportedly going to play a pivotal role in the film. However, not much has been revealed about his part in the "Ant-Man" film.

According to reports by Hollywood Reporter, Martin is going to be an important part of the film, which revolves around a con man Scott Lang who can shrink himself into a miniscule creature. Lang's role will be played by Paul Rudd who will help his mentor Dr. Hank Pym (Douglas) to protect the undisclosed information behind his Ant-Man suit.

"Ant-Man" is directed by Peyton Reed and produced by Disney and Marvel studios. The production of the film is underway and Judy Greer would also be part of the film. She said in a recent interview that she can't give much details about the plot of the film as she hasn't read the script but she did have praises for her co-star Paul Rudd.

"Who doesn't love Paul Rudd? And Peyton Reed directed one of my all-time favourite movies, 'The Break Up,' so I love the idea of a guy who can direct the sh*t out of a romantic comedy doing a superhero/action movie because that's the stuff that's going to make the movie great, is the comedy," said Judy when asked about the film in Movie Pilot.

Moreover, she also suggested that it is not going to be only a superhero movie; there will also be some interpersonal relationships that will be dealt with. "There's interpersonal relationships that are being dealt with, there's successes and failures, there's comedy. That was what I was excited about, and Paul Rudd," said the actress further.

"Ant-Man" is slated for release on July 17, 2015. The cast of the film includes Rudd Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Michael Peña, Donovan, David Dastmalchian, Wood Harris, Abby Ryder Fortson and Gregg Turkington.
