'Ant-Man' Trailer Revealed In NYCC, Comic Book Series To Feature Cassie Lang As Major Character
"Ant-Man" is one of the most anticipated movies from Marvel. At the recent New York Comic Con, or NYCC, the first trailer of the film was revealed, which showed Hank Pym introducing himself to Scott Lang as Ant-Man.
According to further reports by ComicBook Resources, Nick Spencer and artist Ramon Rosanas are writing the script for the "Ant-Man" comic book, which will be launched as a monthly series. Spencer recently spoke with ComicBook and revealed some major details about the plot, which is rumoured to be included in the movie. [Warning: Potential Spoilers Alert]
Spencer said that Cassie Lang is going to be a major part of the story. Cassie is Scott Lang's daughter and her death would be a defining moment in Scott's life, according to the Web site. He also said that Tony Stark could play a part in the comic book series.
Spencer also spoke about the 2015 "Ant-Man" movie. He said that Paul Rudd is one his favourite actors and it would be a delight to seem him play Scott Lang in the film.
Meanwhile, "Ant-Man" encountered some controversies regarding the production of the film. According to IGN
, Edgar Wright left the project and now the film is being helmed by Peyton Reed.
"It was not a slam-dunk that [Peyton Reed] would just step into it and do it," producer Kevin Feige told IGN said about taking Reed on board. "He wanted to be sure that he was wasn't just inheriting something or following someone else's lead."
"Ant-Man's" screenplay is writtern by Gabriel Ferrari and Andrew Barrer. The film also stars Evangeline Lily, Michael Pena, John Slattery and more. It is produced by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures and is the12th offering of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
