Anthony Daniels: 'Star Wars: Episode VII' Will Be Better Than 'The Empire Strikes Back'
Anthony Daniels, the actor who plays C-3PO in "Star Wars: Episode VII," said in a tweet that the upcoming movie will be better than the 1980 movie "Star Wars: Episode V—The Empire Strikes Back." The actor has been a part of the six movies released by the franchise, so far.
"Star Wars: Episode V" is arguably one of the best sequels from the franchise, so far. Some of the highlights of the movies include the battle of Hoth that featured the AT-AT Walkers, Luke's Jedi training in the jungle planet Dagobah, the giant alien living in an asteroid and the bounty hunter Boba Fett. The movie also introduced the Emperor and had major plot twists involving Han Solo and Luke Skywalker.
It may be a challenge for "Star Wars: Episode VII" to beat that movie in terms of the plot as well as the visual effects that had captured the imagination of the audience at that time. But the actor Anthony Daniels feels the upcoming movie, directed by J.J. Abrams, is up to the challenge.
In a tweet, the actor said those who believe the 1980 movie is the best sequel yet may have to "eat those words" by Christmas of 2015, the date when "Star Wars: Episode VII" will be released. His statement comes at a time when the filming of the movie has just been completed and the cast and crew enjoyed in a party in celebration of completing the film.
"No movie sequel is better than The Empire Strikes Back." You might eat those words for Xmas dinner in 2015. Joy & Indigestion to the world!

One other character, apart from C-3PO, which has featured in all the "Star Wars" movies and animation series is the droid R2-D2. One of the cast members, John Boyega, shared a few images and videos from the "Star Wars" party, and the images reveal R2-D2 to be present.
The image and the videos were posted on the actor's Instagram account. Two videos from the "Star Wars: Episode VII" party show John Boyega and other cast and crew members singing and dancing. The party also had the director J.J. Abrams in attendance along with Kiran Shah, who had played the role of a Ewok in the 1983 movie from the franchise and has also played the role of a Goblin Scribe in "The Hobbit" movie.
