Anti-Royalist Apprehended For Manure-Throwing Scheme on Charles, Prince of Wales [PHOTOS]
Castislav "Sam" Bracanov, a 74-year-old anti-royalist, was apprehended by the police before executing his nasty plan of throwing a bucket of horse manure on Charles, Prince of Wales and his wife Camilla during the Diamond Jubilee tour in New Zealand.
One News reported that Sam Bracanov was allegedly seen on the CCTV near downtown Auckland Avenue getting ready to commit the assault. According to police spokeswoman Noreen Hegarty, the officers were ensuring the area was secured when they suspiciously saw Bracanov with the bucket.
On the New Zealand Police website, a released statement confirmed that Sam Bracanov from the Mangere suburb of Auckland was detained at 12:40pm before the Royal couple appeared. The statement further added: "Arresting officers had identified the man as a known anti-royalist who was, when arrested, at a royal itinerary venue although neither of the royal visitors was in the vicinity at the time."
Police officers' lawful action prevented the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall from experiencing the unpleasant threat while in New Zealand for the six-day tour marking the last leg of Queen Elizabeth II's 60th Jubilee. It looks like Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, should watch out for anti-royalist danger since they are also traveling the world as part of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee tour.
Bracanov admitted to his plan of throwing the bucket of horse manure over Prince Charles and Camilla. "I was going to mix it with water, stir it around and make it easy to throw and then throw it at them. Royalty smells, so what difference does it make if I hit them?" Bracanov said. Bracanov pleaded not guilty in an Auckland court for the charge of setting up a crime in public place.
However, if Bracanov attempts to do the manure-throwing plan again under his bail conditions, he will immediately go to jail for disobeying a magistrate's order to keep his distance of at least 500 yards from the Royal couple. Bacanov is scheduled to appear back in court on November 27.
