Even if you have an older version of the iPhone, you can still enjoy Apple's new iOS, the iOS7 and your iPhone experience will still be brand new. The iOS7 debuts on September 18. However, it may not work with the iPhone 3G version. If you have an iPhone 4 or higher models, the iOS7 with its full features is expected to be a lot of fun, say analysts.

With everyone making a big hoopla about the new iPhone releases, you still want to stay close to what is going on with iOS7, since it offers a bunch of features that you just don't want to leave out of your iPhone repertoire of uniquely neat inventions and innovations.

Apple Inc's Senior VP of Software Engineering, Craig Federigh elaborated on the launch saying, "iOS7 is completely redesigned with an entirely new user interface and over 200 new features, so it's like getting a brand new device, but one that will still be instantly familiar to our users."

He continued to say, "Next month we'll be shipping our 700 millionth iOS device, and we're excited about what our hundreds of thousands of iOS developers are doing to bring great new features to their apps."

Many analysts say that it is generous for Apple to allow older customers with iPhones above the iPhone 3GS to upgrade to iOS7. Most releases would require that a customer purchase the new iPhone 5S or iPhone 5C. This is one time that Apple watchers and techies can be part of the new iOS offer and still get some of the benefits of the brand new iPhone models.

Customers with versions less than iPhone 4, will have to wait and see since iPhone has discontinued support for the iPhone 3GS and below. It could be true that as other firms like Samsung on Android and Google, which also uses the Android platform, Apple would also want to introduce to higher models of technology. This would translate into the older models being obsolete, sort of like the Atari and the Nintendo video games of the 'Me" generation.

Co-founder Steve Wozniak commented recently in an interview with Reuters in Singapore, that he would like Apple to let the iPhone go. He was referring to other players like China get hold of the iPhone rights and see what they can do with it. If they can make magic out of cheap plastic imitations, they can do even more with the real thing, Steve says.

Another platform in the offing is the TV, because almost nothing has been done with TV engineering other than providing a selection box of channels and a remote control to operate it. While Samsung and others have touted OLED Tvs with bent screens, there is a lot more that can be done with TV and its technology to make the medium more interactive and selection specific.

So, the iOS7 will play a leading role in several developments that may prop from Cupertino in the next few years and it will carry with it some technology that stretches the imagination. Great fun for developers who want to submit their applications to Apple indeed!
