Apple Could Release 2015 Cellubar MacBook as New Killer Components Appear
An upcoming year means another round of releases from tech giants like Apple. While the company may not have announced its next Macbook plans yet, new patent grants can offer a glimpse of what Apple's computer line may offer next such as laptop with cellular capabitilies and new audio user interface.
Apple has acquired a new patent grant concerning its invention of cavity antennas both for upcoming iPhones and Macbooks. The antennas work with cellular telephone bands. This goes in line previous patents pertaining to Apple's intent on incorporating cellular capabilities into its laptop line according to Patently Apple. The patent did not provide further details whether the idea is to produce a MacBook featuring cellular data capabilities similar to how it has incorporated Cellular offers with iPad WiFi versions. Likewise, there are no specific details about the exact telephone capabilities that people can expect.
In the schematic diagram published on Patently Apple, the image shows the laptops sporting one or more antennas 26 as well as transceiver circuits communicating with the said components. Other features that people may expect should Apple choose to go through with the design include voice-over-internet-protocol (VOIP) telephone call applications, media playback applications, email applications and operating systems among others.
