Apple Inc (AAPL) Needs a Fall Release Date for iPhone 6 to Plan Ahead for a 2014 iWatch Launch
The iPhone 5s will be released in the fall
Apple Inc. is in a dilemma. Will the Cupertino, California software release its iPhone 6 or iPhone 5S in the fall, in time for a planned iWatch release date in 2014 in the United States of America.
This has been a cause of concern for iPhone watchers after Apple Inc. Board member Bill Campbell decided to come out with the announcement on much awaited iWatch. The anticipation for the iWatch and its trademark filing in Japan, Mexico and a few other countries comes amid rival releases of a wrist watch-cum-computing device.
Microsoft is planning to release a wearable comprising of a computing device made from aluminium in late 2014, while Sony will release its Smartwatch2 on September 9. Samsung has announced has announced its unveiling of the Samsung galaxy smartgear on September 4, ahead of a trade show in Germany. Samsung recently released a competitor to the iPhone, the Samsung galaxy smartgear.
"We've been preparing the watch product for so long," Lee Young Hee, executive vice president of Samsung's mobile business, told Bloomberg. "We are working very hard to get ready for it. We are preparing products for the future, and the watch is definitely one of them."
Verge.com confirmed a Microsoft product that can be synced with Windows 8, "We understand Microsoft is testing prototypes with a modified version of Windows 8, with a focus on integrating the device with other Windows-powered devices."
"It's suggested that notifications and music control support will be included, but it's unclear exactly how a smartwatch would complement Microsoft's existing Surface devices." reported the Verge.
The iPhone 6 or the iPhone 5s will launch on September 10, with or without a clear picture of the iWatch release date. The iWatch and the google glass will combine to make a smoother smartphone experience that many smartphone users are looking for.
Some consumers and analysts were expecting a double release of both the iPhone and the iWatch hones in September. All the buzz around the iWatch has created Apple Inc to hire more engineers to pick up the pace.
Apple is waiting to compete its new operating system, the iOS7 along with its new onscreen interface for the required to start the program. The iOlS7 testing is in its halfway point of beta testing.
Yet another glitch that Apple Inc must cross is to guarantee an IPhone 6 will be ready to enter the market by fall. If this does not happen, an iPhone 5 S will go into production in the fall. A cheaper version, the iPhone C, will cater to the Chinese market to compete with the Chinese clones that mimic the iPhone for a fraction of the price.
Analysts say that it is still too early to say if the iWatch is ready for a release any time soon, making it a product for 2014.
