Apple Inc Black Friday Deals LIVE in Australia, Buyers Get More Value with Gift Cards Than Discounts
Apple's Black Friday deals are extended to buyers in Australia. However, Australians should not expect a price discount on Apple products like the iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, iPad Air and the iPad Mini with retina display on the Apple Store. What Apple Inc can offer consumers are Apple Store Gift Cards worth AU$150.
Black Friday marks the end of the Thanksgiving holiday in the United States and the beginning of the Christmas shopping season. Retailers and brands offer online and in-store promos to attract buyers and generate more sales.
People in Australia who buy an iPad Air will be given an Apple Store Gift Card worth AU$75. Buying an iPad Mini or an iPad 2 will include a gift card worth AU$50. The same offer is applied for the iPod Touch. A gift card of AU$25 will be given to customers who buy an iPod nano.
Apple Inc does not offer buyers in Australia a gift card for buying an iPad mini with Retina display. Apple observers speculate that the company is having difficulty meeting the demand of the smaller iPad.
For consumers interested in getting a Mac, buying a Macbook Pro, Macbook Air or an iMac comes with gift card worth AU$150. Various Apple accessories are also included in Apple's Black Friday Sale in Australia with products like Apogee JAM Guitar input and Parrot AR. Drone 2.0 also included. Consumers will get gift cards worth AU$25-$50 when purchasing Macs.
Apple's Black Friday Deals in Australia has gone live and would more likely be similar to deals available to other countries.
In 2012, Apple offered price discounts on product purchases with a maximum of 10 per cent discount which would seem less compared to 2013's deals using gift cards.
Meanwhile, Apple Inc's shares closed at US$545.96 on Nov. 27, up by US$12 from the previous day's close of US$533.40. This was the first time that Apple's share price has been in the positive range since January 2013 when stocks closed at US$542.17.
Analyst Gene Munster has surveyed Apple stores in the U.S. and observed that 90 per cent of iPhone models are in stock. The latest version of the iPhone, the iPhone 5S, still enjoys high demand from consumers wanting to purchase the device. Apple Inc may have finally caught up with the demand just in time for the holidays.
