New rumors about Apple's next MacBook Pro are circling the web as there are reports stating that the present 15-inch models are running low on stock. This seems to be an indication that a new line is being prepared with upgraded features and specifications.

Here is a summary of the different rumors regarding Apple's new MacBook Pro line:

Design

There are rumors stating that both the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro models will have a design similar with MacBook Air. This means that the new models would be slightly thinner as compared to the previous MacBook Pro models but it would still be slightly thicker if compared to MacBook Air.

Display

In terms of display features, there are rumors speculating that the new MacBook Pro would have 2800 x 1800 pixel resolution. This pixel resolution is a big improvement if compared to the present 15-inch MacBook Pro that has 1440 x 900 pixel resolution. It would also reportedly have anti-reflective glass screens which would minimize the glare from the screen especially when used in well-lit areas.

Processor

Multiple reports are stating the 15-inch MacBook Pro will be the first one to be upgraded with Intel's Core i5 and Core i7 Ivy Bridge chipset. This chip supports displays up to 4096 x 40996. The upgrade is supposed to be scheduled by the end of April while other reports are targeting a June release date.

Other Features

MacBook Pro would supposedly eliminate its optical drives and traditional hard disk drives in favor of solid-state drives (SSDs) which support the rumors of Apple's MacBook Pro having a thinner design. Aside from that, Apple has supposedly prepared an upgrade for OS X Lion with "HiDPI" which indicates that the rumors of Apple's MacBook Pro having a higher resolution are in progress.

Release Date

The implementation of these updates are said to be scheduled by April 23. On the other hand, some reports are speculating that the updates for the 13-inch will be by June while the 17-inch MacBook Pro will receive the updates by the latter part of 2012.

These are just some of the rumors surrounding the new line of Apple's MacBook Pro. Apple has not released any official statement addressing these rumors which means that some of these specifications might be true while some could be just baseless assumptions.
