Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference 2012: What to Expect
Apple fans all over the world are eagerly anticipating the Apple event and the new Apple gadgets that will be introduced by the company. Apple will be holding its Worldwide Developers Conference (WDC 2012) by next week from June 11-15, 2012 in San Francisco.
Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple is expected to be one to deliver the company's keynote address. Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple was the one who used to deliver the keynote address before his death last year. The conference is one of the most important events for Apple because it serves as the venue for introducing the latest improvements and developments for the company. As for the consumers, the WWDC is where they would be able to get first-hand and official information about Apple's newest product and updates.
Apple is expected to introduce several new updates and improvements in their wide range of Apple products.
Here are some of the information that are speculated to be announced during the WWDC 2012:
Mac OS X Mountain Lion
It is expected that Apple will be launching a beta version of the company's newest operating system which is iOS 6 or also known as Mountain Lion. This new OS will be applicable to different Apple products such as iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.
Siri
Siri, the popular virtual assistant was first launched with iPhone 4S. After it was launched, this feature has gone viral and many Apple consumers are requesting that the same feature should be available in other Apple products. This request could come sooner as the new iOS could incorporate Siri to other Apple products.
Apple MacBook Pro
New updates about the Apple MacBook Pro is expected to be announced during the conference. According to rumors, the new Apple MacBook Pro would be lighter in terms of density but would be more powerful in terms of performance. There are also rumors that a Retina Display would also be incorporated with the MacBook Pro thus making it at the same level with MacBook Air.
Apple TV
Several sources are also suggesting that the Apple TV would also be undergoing some major improvements especially in terms of OS. Apple had reportedly created an operating system especially for Apple TV which would incorporate Siri as well as a redesigned interface.
Hints for iPhone 5
One of the most anticipated Apple products for this year is Apple's iPhone 5 and many experts are speculating that official information about this smartphone can be mentioned during the WWDC. Though iPhone 5 is not yet slated to be released anytime soon (rumored date: October, 2012), some additional details could be revealed during the conference.
