The crown gem in Detroit's list of schedules, the so-called North American International Auto Show, will kick off in the following week. Bloomfield Patch would like to hear names of local participants.

The North American International Auto Show will be held at the Cobo Center, One Washington Blvd., Detroit, MI 48226. A press preview will happen on Monday and Tuesday, industry preview on Wednesday and Jan. 12, charity preview on Jan. 13, and public show on Jan. 14-22.

This year's auto show will display over 500 vehicles from excellent exhibitors including many of the hometown favorites such as Ford and Chrysler, General Motors. Foreign auto manufacturers will also hit the scene. A few of them are Ferrari, Martin, Tesla, and Lamborghini.

Viewers are expected to get behind the wheel during the quarter-mile indoor Pure Michigan Ride and Drive Track.

Expected Ticket Prices:

  • Children (7-12 years old) - $6
  • Children aged 6 and younger with their parent or guardian can go in for free
  • Adults - $12
  • Seniors (65 years old and up) - $6
  • Group ticket or day pass - $8 when buying a minimum of 30 tickets
