Ariana Grande Dating Austin Mahone? [PHOTOS]

Ariana Grande might have found a suitable replacement for ex-boyfriend, Jai Brooks. The Nickelodeon star took to Twitter to post a photo of her with an obviously good-looking boy named Austin Mahone. Are Austin and Ariana dating or is it just a friendly photo?

"Janoskians" and fans of Grande had been depressed following the split of the famous "Jariana" duo. While Jai and Ariana have dated only for a while, fans loved the pairing and had constantly re-tweeted PDA photos of the two. Blame distance for putting a stop between Ariana and Jai.

"The distance played a major role as it was hard to maintain a relationship so far away," stated Ariana's representative, adding, "They remain close friends."

"Neither of us knew how hard it'd be to be apart," stated Jai Brooks. "We still love each other more than anything, though. She's still my girl," continued the MTV star on his Twitter account.

With the split out in the open, Ariana is keeping herself busy with shooting scenes for the Teen Nick's new series, "Sam & Cat." Grande is joined by Jennette McCurdy of "iCarly" where both stars try to score money with babysitting.

Apart from being busy with the Nickelodeon series, Ariana is also set to release her studio album which leads the connection to Austin Mahone. Austin and Ariana are both talents of Republic Records and the two met for the first time yesterday which Ariana had excitedly tweeted to her fans.

"Was nice meeting you @austinmahone! My label mate @republicrecords," stated Ariana.

For those who don't know Austin Mahone, the Texas born native became popular all thanks to viral videos posted on YouTube. The American singer was chosen as Taylor Swift's opening acts during her "Red" tour.

Fans of Grande claim that Austin Mahone bears a striking resemblance to her ex-boyfriend, Jai Brooks. Would this be a good enough reason for Ariana to start dating Austin? Given the circumstances, Ariana and Austin do appear to be a cute couple. However, with the "Jariana" split just weeks from over, Ariana doesn't seem to be considering dating as a great option for now.
