Curious why Ariana Grande sports just one kind of hairstyle this past few days? She explains why in a lengthy post.

The former Nickelodeon star posts over her Instagram account a screen capture of her Facebook status explaining the reason for her really long hair to people who are giving her "such a hard time."

Ariana explains in the post that the first four years of her stint as Cat Valentine caused great damage to her hair.

"I had to bleach my hair and dye it red every other week for the first four years of playing Cat," she writes, referring to her role in "Victorious" and "Sam & Cat." With "Sam & Cat," however, Ariana now wears a red wig.

Ariana, who is a natural brunette, also reveals that her real hair is slowly growing back but the signs of damage is still there. Proof of that is her wearing of long hair extensions.

"I wear extensions but I wear it in a ponytail because my actually hair is so broken that it looks absolutely ratchet and absurd when I let it down," she writes further.

Prior to the hair extensions, Ariana also tried other alternatives such as wigs ('They look RIDICULOUS') and hair weaving (she 'literally wanted to rip (her) scalp off). But ever since trying out the extensions-and-ponytail route, she has felt comfortable for the first time in years.

Because of this, Ariana pleads to her fans (and haters) to bear with her for now.

"So as annoying as it is for y'all to have to look at the same hairstyle all the time, it's all that works for now.

"And trust me, it's even more difficult for me to have to wait forever for my natural hair to grow back and to have to wear more fake hair than every drag queen on earth combined. So PLEASE gimme a break about the hair (or just don't look at me lol). IT'S JUST HAIR AFTER ALL," she writes last.

Ariana is not the only celeb who laments on over-processed hair. Jennifer Lawrence previously said in a Google+ hangout chat that part of the reason why she cut her hair into a short pixie is that her hair is "fried from being dyed too much."
