Ariana Grande Shares Her Deranged Past
Ariana Grande confessed that she was a disturbed youngster in her early childhood years.
The famous singer admitted that she was 'dark and deranged' as a child. Her family was very worried about her personality traits, which she claimed to be quite contrary to her present characteristics.
The singer opened up about herself like never before in a candid interview given to Billboard, which was publicized before the release of her upcoming album. "I think people see me as a little cutesy thing," she said, donning a demure and adorable façade for her fans. "But I'm literally the most sardonic person you've ever met," Grande added.
The 21-year-old singer described herself as a 'weird little girl', who always wanted to have either her skeleton face paint or Freddy Krueger Mask. She also carried her hockey stick around for a long time in her early years.
The disclosure came as a surprise as the singer has risen to fame with a very cute, clean and girl-next-door image. She has always been seen in her best behavior and accompanied by her mother in most of out-of-town shows.
The singer still remembers her fifth birthday party, which she shared had 'Jaw' as the theme of the evening. All other kids got petrified and left the party crying their hearts out. Her parents were apprehensive about her future and feared she might end up nowhere due to her odd perspectives.
A couple of years following the 'freaky' birthday party, she started acting in a community theatre. By freshman year in high school, she auditioned and got her first casting in a Broadway Show. This led to a break as a supporting character in Nickelodeon's teen musical sitcom 'Victorious'.
However, her big break in singing came when one of her YouTube videos, where she was singing a Whitney Houston song, got noticed. This discovery landed her a contract with Republic Records. She was only 17 years old at that time.
Grande claims to be at a very important phase in her life. The singer is schedule to release her sophomore album 'My Everything' on August 25. The album is expected to be a major hit and a life-changing chapter in her career.
The singer also disclosed that she is fascinated by Madonna and like her, practices Kabbalah despite having been raised Catholic.
