Arnold Schwarzenegger's Son Discharged From Hospital
Christopher Sargent Shriver Schwarzenegger, the youngest of the four children of former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shiver, was hospitalized for more than a week after a surfing accident in Malibu, California on July 17. The family shared a few details about the accident but described that it has been a "very scary week" for them. Schwarzenegger's the 13-year old was confined at the Intensive Care Unit after the accident. He suffered from multiple broken bones and a collapsed lung.
His mother, Maria Shriver, who is the estranged wife of Schwarzenegger, remained by the teen's hospital bedside throughout the ordeal. Shriver, a member of the Kennedy clan, filed for divorce from the action star-politician on July 1 following his admission that he fathered a child with his family's housekeeper years ago. The couple had separated in May. However, they went through the situation or trial in life involving their son together showing their strong bond when it comes to their children.
Christopher has been released from hospital after receiving treatment from the surfing accident. Maria said on a Twitter message last July 26, 2011 that their son Christopher left the hospital on Monday, July 25. "Blessed to be able to take Christopher out of the hospital last night," Shriver twitted. "What a feeling of relief to know that he's going to be fine."
Arnold, known for his role as Terminator posted on twitter: "I knew Christopher couldn't be stopped! Big thanks to all the doctors, nurses and staff at UCLA that helped him to recover."
